Pack it up, pack it in – let me [us] begin

Not only great early 90’s rap lyrics – but our life. We’ve started packing and organizing a few weeks ago, but things are actually going into boxes now. The count down begins and the move it on next Saturday, May 10. If you’re in the Cumming area, we would love some help moving out – if you’re in the city/Decatur area, we would love some help moving in.

It’s exciting, but a lot of work. Although, most of our things were sold before we left CA or still in boxes. I’m interested to unpack and find all of the fun things we forgot we had. Rediscovery treasures could also be a great opportunity to get rid of some things. If we haven’t missed it in the past year, chances are we don’t really need it after all. Other things will be fun to unpack and get out and about so our new place feels like home. Since we didn’t hang anything on the walls for the last year to avoid putty and spackle chores upon move out – I know we’ll have to show restraint and not hang things on every square inch of our new place

A Year Ago…

It was a year ago that the Manleys and the Pearsons did, what some would call crazy and stupid. We all moved from California to Georgia…TOGETHER. In the past year we have had a crazy amount of good and bad happen to us…and all four of us are still standing to talk about it. Its been a crazy trip. We wanted it to be about the JOURNEY and not the destination… and last 12 month’s journey has been nuts. I wouldn’t trade it for the world.

Crazy busy. thats how I would describe us lately. So busy in fact, that its not fun to update the blog – so here is my attempt to tell you about our life in a few short lines.

- Yesterday Leah’s crown on one of her back teeth popped out – so shes’s on the liquid diet until it gets fixed. You know what did it  - that new amazing “Extra Berry Pearadise” gum. Stuff is good but it makes you fix your teeth.

- Lately I’ve been working non stop, through the weekends because I think i’ve overly said “YES” to too many projects. The work, for the most part, has been really fun – but I’m gonna try to not touch any work this weekend.

- We’re getting ready around here to move in a few weeks – so very soon we will have a new address and a new place in the coolest little hood. In the mean time we really have to pack our junk up. Luckily for us we never opened up about half of our stuff from CA. So it will be a new adventure when we get to Decatur, rediscovering stuff we forgot we owned.

- Allergies are murdering my face and eyes lately. You can see the pine pollen gather on stuff. Things turn yellow around here. Crazy.

- Leah and I have made a goal to try to re-watch all 3 seasons of Arrested Development before we move. Here is the key – not really pay hard attention -but leave it on while we’re packing, doing bills, taxes, etc. That way you catch all the great lines inadvertently and then they hit you as you’re doing something else. Season one is done…now on to 2 and 3.
