Merry Christmas

There is much to be thankful for this year and primary among them Brian and I are feeling very blessed to love and be loved by so many new friends and neighbors. We are also thankful for the consistency of family and old friends too [regardless of distance]. We hope you are enjoying a restful time of celebration and reflection with the people in your lives [immediate family or serrogate] that support, challenge, encourage and love you regardless of circumstance!

Polaroid

I refuse to believe this article on CNN about the death and end of Polaroid film. Well … I really refuse to believe that this is “the end.” I knew this day was coming ever since Polaroid decided to stop making film to focus on making digital stuff. I appreciate them wanting to push the technological envelope and further photographic technology, but they really let me , and small but loud internet community, of photographic luddites down.  I have a feeling, and its just a hunch, that analog instant film is not dead by any means. In Japan these instant mini-film cameras are huge. As well, Fuji is rolling out old pull-apart film that was once only manufactured by Polaroid.  We shall see. Until then, if you spy any Polaroid 600 film at your local WalMart or Target stores, and want to be  a dear, keep me in mind. I think Santa has put me on the “Good boy” list this year.

Here is an example of the ol’ pull-apart film from my Polaroid Land Camera. Don’t my parents look nice?
